Edward "Skippy" Thompson

Brothers and sisters of UAW Local 598, I'm Edward "Skip" Thompson and I'm Team Leader on 2nd Shift on the Final line team 5. I'm a 3rd generation General Motors UAW member that started as a temp in 2012 and became seniority in January 2016.

Since I've began this journey I have been passionate about education. I'm currently a certified labor instructor for the U of M Dearborn and Wayne State labor studies and also effective educator for Region 1-D. I'm in the process of becoming a licensed parliamentarian and a member of the education committee and the CBTU Flint chapter.

I'm honored to announce my run for Local 598 Trustee position and the privilege and commitment that is attached to this title. I bring dedication, integrity, honesty, commitment, accountability and responsibility. It will be my pleasure to have the support of my brothers and sisters and the membership of Local 598 to be blessed with this opportunity.
