Brothers and Sisters,
My name is Jaccob Kohn, and I am asking for your support for election as District Committee Representative for District 5C, representing the Body Shop, I.P. Line, and Door Line. I have been a proud UAW member since 2011 and have dedicated 10 years to working in the plant. I come from a union family background, with both my grandfather and uncle being union members, where the values of hard work and solidarity were instilled early in my life.
For the past three and a half years, I have served as an Alternate Committee Representative, gaining valuable experience addressing workplace concerns and advocating for members. During that time, I have worked to ensure that members are taken care of both contractually and ethically.
The issues I care about most on the shop floor are making sure members are treated fairly and that their rights under the contract are respected. Coworkers describe me as hardworking and trustworthy, qualities I believe are essential for effective representation.
Outside of work, I am actively involved in the community as a football, baseball, and softball coach. I am family-oriented, an avid golfer, and a dedicated sports fan. Born and raised in Flint and Clio, Michigan, I am proud to serve the community I call home.
I believe our union is strongest when we stand united. If elected, I will serve District 5C with honesty, accountability, and dedication, working to ensure every member’s voice is heard and every member is treated fairly.
Thank you for your consideration and your support. In Solidarity, Jaccob Kohn
