Jon Galant

Brothers and Sisters,

My name is Jon Galant, and I am asking for your support to continue serving as District Committee for District 3B, representing Material, Salvage, and Skilled Trades. I have proudly served in this role for the past seven years. I have been a UAW member since 2003 and have nearly 23 years of service working in the plant. Prior to becoming District Committee, I served as Alternate Committee Person for District 3B for two years, gaining valuable experience advocating for our members.

Union principles are a core part of my identity. As a third-generation union representative in my family, I am deeply committed to advocating for worker rights and promoting workplace safety. I firmly believe that all members should experience fairness and respect, and that every family should have confidence that their loved ones will come home safe after each shift.

I also believe that being part of the Local 598 family goes beyond the plant floor. Community outreach and involvement are essential to strengthening our union and supporting one another. I am committed to continuing to contribute both inside and outside the workplace.

If given the opportunity to continue serving, I will remain dedicated to fairness, safety, and strong representation for every member in District 3B.
