Sean Meachem

Brothers and Sisters,

My name is Sean Meachem, and I am asking for your support for election as District Committee Representative for District 2A, representing Chassis 1–5, Kitting, Final 4 and 5, DVT, Final Reprocess, and Stores. I have been a proud UAW member since September 13, 1999, and bring 27 years of seniority, with 20 years at Flint Assembly.

I come from a strong union family background, with my grandfather and uncles being UAW members, and my father working as a team member and truck driver. Union values have always been a part of my life.

I have served the membership as an Alternate Committee Representative, District Committee Representative, and District Shop Representative. I have also completed advanced training in grievance handling, including umpire decisions, 71 process, and union history.

The issues I care most about on the shop floor are health, safety, and respect for our members—both inside and outside of the plant—along with improving overall working conditions.

Outside of work, I am involved in community efforts including building ramps and supporting schoolyard projects such as benches and flower boxes.

It has always been a personal honor to serve this membership, and I take pride in being someone the membership can count on. If elected, I will continue to represent District 2A with integrity, experience, and a strong commitment to doing what is right for our members.
