Shane Herriman

Brothers and Sisters,

My name is Shane Herriman, and I am asking for your support for election as District Committee Representative for District 3A, representing Material, Salvage, and Skilled Trades.

I have been a proud UAW member since May 23, 1994, with a plant seniority date of October 7, 1996, and nearly three decades of service at Flint Truck Assembly. As a third-generation UAW member, I come from a strong union family background where the values of solidarity, hard work, and standing up for workers’ rights were instilled early in my life.

I have served the membership in multiple union roles over the years, including two terms as Material Alternate, two terms as District Committee Representative, and District Shop Committee. Throughout that time, I have worked to protect members’ rights, enforce the contract, and ensure fair treatment on the shop floor.

The issues I care most about are making sure our members are represented, treated with respect, and that the contract is upheld for everyone. I believe strong representation comes from experience, accountability, and a commitment to doing what is right for the membership.

I believe our union is strongest when we stand united. If elected, I will continue to serve District 3A with honesty, dedication, and a focus on protecting the rights and interests of every member.
