District 4C Committeeman

Brothers and Sisters,

My name is William “Chino” McIntosh, and I am asking for your support for election as District Representative for District 4C, representing Trim and Quality. I have been a proud UAW member since June 2, 2006, with 20 years of seniority and 13 years at Flint Assembly. I come from a union family background, as my father was a member of UAW Local 659.

I have served the membership in multiple roles, including 2019 Strike Captain, Alternate Committee Representative, District Committee Representative, and as a member of SQAC. Through these positions, I have worked to address concerns, uphold the contract, and advocate for members on the shop floor.

I have completed extensive training, including a Labor Arbitration Conference in Tampa, as well as Grievance Handling and Persuasive Bargaining training at the Walter and May Reuther UAW Family Education Center at Black Lake. These experiences have strengthened my ability to represent members effectively and enforce the contract.

The issues I care most about are ensuring compliance with the contract and fostering strong synergy among coworkers. Coworkers describe me as personable, honest, dependable, and available whenever needed, and I take pride in treating members’ issues as my own.

Outside of work, I am active in the community as a youth football counselor helping prepare students for college and through organizing clothing bank giveaways. I was born and raised in the Flint area and live by the motto “Family First.” I am also pursuing involvement in athletic bargaining related to NIL and hold a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a focus on law.

I believe our union is strongest when we stand united. If elected, I will serve District 4C with honesty, accountability, and dedication, working to ensure every member is heard, protected, and treated fairly.

Thank you for your consideration and your support. In Solidarity, William “Chino” McIntosh
